The Tranquil Point homestead is warm and welcoming and is self sufficient with rain water tanks and solar power.  It has country style features to make your stay relaxed and comfortable.  It offers 6 light filled and comfortable guest rooms.  Each bedroom contains beautiful hand crafted furniture made locally from native Tasmanian timbers and cosy linen.  Refer to the rooms page for more details on the bedding layout.

 

Kitchen

The homestead has a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your meals.  There is an electric oven with gas cook top as well as a combustion stove for use in the winter months.  There is ample storage space in the pantry and a fridge/ freezer for your use.

Lounge Room

The open lounge room is warm and friendly with plenty of seating.  The fireplace easily warms the entire house in depths of winter.   There is a guitar for those who play and a wide selection of books are available from the library.  

Bathrooms

There are 3 clean and functional bathrooms. 2 located downstairs and 1 located upstairs. 

Laundry

The laundry is equipped with a washing machine.  Clothes racks and an outside washing line are also available.

Outdoors

Situated on 3 acres, there are numerous serene and peaceful sitting places overlooking the ocean and the Hartz mountains.  There are a sunbed, a hammock and various picnic tables dotted around the property.

BBQ and Fire Pit

Tranquil Point has a stunning BBQ and Fire Pit area that looks over the ocean.  It is a great place for outdoor entertaining.

Beaches

Tranquil Point has two small beaches.  There is a sandy beach, ideal for swimming and a rocky beach.  The wearing of shoes is advised on the rocky beach.

Vegetable Garden & Fruit Trees

Tranquil Point has an organic vegetable garden, fruit trees, a hot house and compost.  Seasonal vegetables are grown year round which guests can use for cooking when available.

Car Parking

The Tranquil Point car park can easily hold more than 12 cars.

Instruction Space (available for retreats)

Tranquil Point has a purpose built 90 sqm instruction space.  It is suitable for physical activities, meditation, creative arts and group discussion.  It can comfortably hold 15 people.  It is also purpose built for Bikram Yoga.

To confirm your reservation, an initial payment is required at the time of booking.  You can pay with cash or credit card.  Tranquil Point accepts mastercard and visa cards.  Tranquil Point has a no refund cancellation policy and your booking can be transferred within a 12 month period from the date of the initial booking.
